Tamar Broadbent is a comedian, writer, singer, actor and award-winning songwriter.
Best known for her funny, catchy story songs about single life in your twenties, Tamar has toured her solo musical comedy shows around the UK, including the Edinburgh festival, and internationally to Europe and Australia. She was nominated for Best Comedy Show at Perth Fringeworld 2017 for her show Get Ugly.
Tamar studied English at Bristol University and went on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
In 2014, she won the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Award, the most prestigious competition in the UK for new musical theatre songwriters. She has co-written the play Split with Emma Pritchard, which enjoyed a successful run at the Brighton Fringe and in London. She has also worked as a director and writer on musical comedy projects at LAMDA and Mountview Theatre Schools.
A big fan of Tina Fey and Holly Mandel, Tamar began improvising in 2015 and is now a member of long-form, UCB-style improvised comedy house team My Brother, Jose at the popular Free Association in London.
She performs regularly on the UK comedy circuit, at venues such as The Boat Show, Glee, Screaming Blue Murder, Off the Rails, Prague Comedy Festival and Comedy Cow.
