Join us for a captivating evening with Professor David Olusoga OBE, the renowned historian, BAFTA-winning filmmaker.

Also as presenter of BBC2’s A House Through Time we see a new series begin on BBC 2. In this talk, David will examine why black history matters plus the causes of the ‘history wars’ and asks where they might lead us.

Through his TV work and writing, he has sought to make history inclusive, expansive and diverse by shedding a light on how history is viewed through the media This recently included his Book and the BBC series Union  – featuring the history of Wales Scotland and Ireland.

Always determined to increase the appeal of history as a subject to young people from similar backgrounds to his own. Using individuals’ voices and experiences to tell stories, he will take us on a fascinating journey examining what history reveals about contemporary society.
