Dan Smith

With countless gigs under his belt, Dan has become a seasoned performer in comedy clubs, theatres and festivals across the UK since taking the plunge into stand-up back in 2001.
A regular face on the Midlands comedy scene, Dan clinched second place in the esteemed Birmingham Comedy Festival’s “Breaking Talent” award and has since gone on to host many comedy legends including Milton Jones, Russell Howard, Alan Carr and even Michael Winslow from the much loved “Police Academy” movies.
As part of the highly regarded Birmingham sketch troupe “The Lovely Men”, Dan wrote and performed alongside fellow Brummie comedian James Cook, taking the “Lovely Men – Assemble” show up to the Edinburgh Fringe to great acclaim.
Dan has also delved into the world of indie horror films, securing roles in the award-winning productions “Crispy’s Curse” and “The Slayers.”
During lockdown, he skyrocketed to social media stardom with his uproarious character Harry Arbuckle, amassing over 600k followers on TikTok, and millions of views around the world, duetting with the likes of Kurupt FM, Nile Rodgers and Louis Theroux and creating a number of highly successful parody videos featuring Ed Sheeran, Adele, George Ezra, Take That and Mick Hucknall, amongst others.
The character caught the attention of none other than YouTube sensation “Mr Beast,” who deemed it “The funniest thing I’ve ever seen” which led to being featured on MTV, an interview on Breakfast radio in New Zealand and the release of the single “I don’t like football” for the Euro’s in 2021.
A versatile and energetic act who, despite nearing his half century still manages to convey the air and child-like enthusiasm of a ten year old boy.
