Cynnal Spoken World is proud to present a screening of the climate change blockbuster The Age of Stupid (2009), starring Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite (In The Name of the Father, The Usual Suspects, Brassed Off) as a man living in the devastated future world of 2055, looking back at old footage from our time and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?
The film was chosen by Welsh comedian, Daniel Glyn (BBC, Made in Cardiff TV, S4C) who will be performing his one man show Wel, Well, Welsh Daniel Glyn has been performing stand-up in Welsh and English since 1992, and this year he reckons he’s going to get it right. He will share his experiences of being a half Welsh half English mongrel, and also covers his adventures in Welsh language culture and history, and how being brought up a Welsh speaker in Cardiff has confused him even further. The show is in English, no knowledge of Welsh necessary. Or indeed English.
