Jazz Wales presents 360, who return to South Wales, having sold-out their night at The Dylan Thomas Theatre, as part of the Swansea International Jazz Festival.
A very special 10-piece band featuring original Average White Band members Hamish Stuart, Malcolm ‘Molly’ Duncan and Steve Ferrone, playing their fantastic new album and a selection of their old AVB classics.
Steve has also played with Duran Duran followed by a long spell with Eric Clapton before becoming the drummer in Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers. Molly has been in much demand as a session player and soloist all over Europe and Hamish previously joined Paul McCartney’s band on record breaking world tours.
Average White Band (also AWB) are a Scottish funk and R&B band that had a series of Soul hits. They have influenced Brand New Heavies, and been sampled by Beastie Boys, TLC, The Beatnuts, Too Short, Ice Cube, Eric B. & Rakim, Nas, and A Tribe Called Quest, and Arrested Development – making them the fifteenth most sampled act in history.
